Neck Laceration Guard and Mouth Guard rules
Neck laceration guards
--USA Hockey has issued a new rule that takes effect August 1, 2024. All players (including goalies), regardless of age, must wear a neck laceration guard at all practices and games.
--Neck guards can be in the form of a strap that velcros around the neck or a base layer shirt that has an attached neck guard.

Mouth guards
--Mouth guards are required for all players in the 12U (PeeWee) and 14U (Bantam) age groups. Players in the 10U (Squirt) age group are not required to wear mouth guards.
--Mouth guards need to be colored, not clear.
As a reminder, both of these equipment rules can result in an in-game penalty if they are not followed.
